With over 10 years experience in the fitness and martial arts industry, the main challenge we have seen with clients is being able to start training. Sometimes everything seems too hard and it doesn’t have to be.

When you start training you may or may not know where you are heading with it besides wanting to tone up, lose weight or increase your fitness.

There is being able to achieve your goal then there is the forgotten step of maintaining the goal.

The three general stages of training

Light – This starting level is for clients that are entering training or have complications that require further assistance and guidance. This is also for specialised groups such as bariatric, diabetic, disability or other medical issues.

Medium – This is for overall moderately healthy, young people. You may be a little overweight, train regularly but need that push to get to the next level.

Intense – You are fit, you are wanting more from your training and require new or alternative ways to increase your fitness/sports level.

Once you have reached your personal short term goals, you should be able to move into whatever physical activity you wish to focus on and reach your goals.
